The name Hacker-Pschorr stands for a Munich brew tradition crafted over centuries, and acclaimed far beyond the borders of Bavaria throughout the entire world. As a brewer focused on quality, Hacker-Pschorr of course brews in accordance with the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot or Beer Purity Law. Our beer is sold in the popular traditional swing-top bottles.

Hacker-Pschorr – Heaven of Bayern

Already in 1417, there is mention of a “Preustatt in the Hagkagasse” in the heart of Munich (Preustatt means ‘brewery’ in Old German). Today the tradition is continued in the “Alten Hackerhaus” in the Sendlinger Straße, where our beer is served and highly appreciated, not just by the residents of Munich but also by guests from around the world.
The name Hacker-Pschorr dates back to the marriage of Teresia Hacker and Joseph Pschorr. Under the couple’s leadership, Hacker-Pschorr advanced to become Munich’s leading major brewery in the 18th century. Doing business in a sustainable and environmental manner combined with courage and innovation, that is “the heaven of the Bavarians,” a Hacker-Pschorr tradition since 1417.

Munchner Hell

Our classic Muncher

Pleasant to drink, mild-unpretentious beer for all occasions

Brewed from barley quality Annabell that thrives on the slate soils of the Munich surrounding areas, this beer shows its distinctive authentic bayerisch character.

Even when pouring the subtle hop oils develop rich aroma and give the beer a subtle, slightly bitter note. Flavors come into play that are reminiscent of a freshly mown summer meadow and lush green. The pleasantly light yeast flower completes the picture of a balanced, mild beer. Our Bright - a clear, honest beer, pleasantly refreshing and always welcome.

Since 1417, Hacker Pschorr stands for traditional Bavarian brewing. The quality beers of Hacker-Pschorr are all brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only hops, malt and water.

Alc. 5.0% by volume, 11.5% original gravity by weight.

Munchner Dunkel

The epitome of Bavarian beer

Shimmering dark brown – Slightly bitter, malty taste

Our Munich Dark beer announces itself with intense malt notes. A glorious beer: full-bodied flavor with a slight hint of caramel, nuts and candied fruit. A slightly sweet roasted malt note harmoniously rounds off the delicate bitterness of the hops.

Our Munich Dark gets its beautiful chestnut color from the high temperatures used during “kiln-drying,” the roasting of the barley malt, and the special Hacker-Pschorr mashing process.
Aged in the deepest levels of our storage cellars, our Dark has been able to develop its unique taste in peace and quiet.
